Shane Childers

I’m Shane Childers, a commercial real estate broker and active real estate investor specializing in commercial and investment real estate throughout Lafayette, West Lafayette, and the surrounding Indiana markets. Born and raised in Lafayette, I graduated from Purdue University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Financial Planning and Counseling. My background also includes small business ownership and firsthand real estate investing, giving me a practical understanding of transactions from the perspective of business owners, investors, landlords, and property owners. My commercial real estate education includes specialized commercial coursework through ICREA, along with comprehensive commercial real estate training through KW Commercial. I have represented clients across a wide range of commercial and investment transactions, with properties ranging in value from approximately $10,000 to more than $4.5 million. My experience includes the acquisition, sale, leasing, ownership, and management of properties ranging from single-family investment properties and multifamily housing to commercial buildings and larger investment assets. As an active investor myself, I bring firsthand ownership experience to the advice and analysis I provide clients. I also have extensive experience with 1031 tax-deferred exchanges, both personally as an investor and professionally while assisting clients through exchange transactions. My approach combines commercial brokerage training, financial analysis, small business experience, and firsthand real estate ownership to help clients evaluate opportunities and make informed real estate decisions.
