He started in the commercial real estate business in 1987 and worked with two leading commercial real estate companies until 1993 when he decided to form his own firm dedicated solely to assisting companies and individuals with their space, site, and investment property needs here in Augusta and the Georgia-Carolina region. The J. Willingham Company, Inc. does exclusively commercial, industrial, and investment real estate specializing in leasing, sales and build-to-suits. Jay has 16 years experience in the business ranging from market studies, site selection, lease purchase analysis, property management, property valuation and building development consultation. He has represented tenants and landlords as well as buyers and sellers in locating and negotiating office, retail, industrial, office/warehouse, investment projects, build-to-suits, 1031 exchanges, subleases and lease buyouts. His expertise is in the area of warehousing, site selection and "win-win" negotiation strategies. Jay attended Georgia State University where he earned a degree in Business Administration with a Marketing major. He is very creative in his solutions for his clients' problems and provides smart short and long-term solutions to their goals.
