Lakeview Business District is a new 600-acre light-medium industrial development in west St. Albert and is ready for development.
The City will be front-end servicing of Lakeview, which includes road improvements and the construction of off-site municipal services.
This premier employment hub will bring an estimated 5,000 new jobs to St. Albert, Alberta, and the broader Edmonton Metropolitan Region. It will be home to industries like Advanced Manufacturing, Clean Tech, Logistics, Transportation and Life Science and at full build out, it will attract up to 1.5 billion dollars of private-sector investment.
Strategically positioned along primary national and interprovincial trade corridors, and close to rail with direct access to a high-pressure gas main. The district will enable access to regional, national and international markets.
To accelerate development in Lakeview, a Development Acceleration Program (DAP) has been created which will offer a reimbursement-based incentive tailored to encourage early-stage development. The program will offer up to $110,000/acre in two streams: land development and construction of industrial and commercial buildings. A total of $8 million will be available, and the program will be ready to receive applications starting in January 2026.
