Weldon Martin is a Managing Director in the firm’s Houston office. In this role, Weldon specializes in office tenant representation and is also responsible for sourcing, winning and executing business across all service lines, including leasing, acquisition and development opportunities. During his career in commercial real estate, Weldon has handled more than 340 office lease transactions totaling over 2.2 million square feet on behalf of both tenants and institutional owners. Weldon provides a unique perspective to his clients, given that he honestly does know and understand how both building owners and tenants evaluate each transaction. He places a premium on relationships, so client service is not just a philosophy, it is one of his core values. Weldon is active in the local Houston community, serving as Board Chair & Founder of Champions for Children at Texas Children’s Cancer Center. Additionally, he acts as Board Member on the Cancer Center’s Advisory Board and is a Big Brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. Weldon attended Baylor University on a four-year golf scholarship, graduating with a Bachelors in Business Administration. Upon graduation, Weldon briefly competed on the Adams Pro Golf tour before ultimately deciding to pursue a career in commercial real estate. Prior to joining Stream, Weldon spent seven years at CBRE, most recently as a First Vice President. Before joining CBRE, Martin represented office tenants at Avison Young. While there, he was named North American Rookie of the Year in recognition of his achievements.
