Wah Chen began in real estate as a Rotary Scholar in Singapore in 1992 after graduating from Columbia University in New York. She studied affordable housing policy, went to the Anderson School of Business at UCLA, subsequently joined InSite Development as a Partner in 2003. Wah has been involved in the acquisition, financing and development of affordable housing projects in Los Angeles, Palmdale, Lancaster, Compton, and Hollywood. She has worked with city governments, state agencies, elected officials, and neighborhood communities and successfully received more than $100 million dollars of competitive funds from Proposition 46 Multifamily Housing Program, The Los Angeles Affordable Housing Trust Fund, Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Tax Exempt Bond Financing. Wah has completed 18 marathons and has an impressive collection of old sneakers. In January 2006, Wah gave birth to an unbelievably gorgeous little girl.
