Vikki Kulju

A graduate of National Louis University, Vikki holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Management and is a graduate of the Lake Superior Community Partnership Leadership Academy. Her dual roles include 1) Executive Director for Telkite Enterprises, the company responsible for the marketing/redevelopment of the former K.I. Sawyer Air Base, now Sawyer International Airport; and 2) Founding Member and Spokesperson for the Upper Michigan Green Aviation Coalition, a regional economic development cluster focused on accelerating job creation and technology commercialization in the field of green aviation. Prior to joining Telkite, Vikki worked for Marquette County as the Director of Marketing for Sawyer International Airport and Business Center. Her efforts in managing a $700,000 marketing grant to promote a closed-military base, resulted in an EDA Excellence in Rural Economic Development Award; and two awards from the National Association of Installation Developers (one for overall marketing campaign and one for direct marketing piece). Her efforts with the Upper Michigan Green Aviation Coalition have helped the entity secure $1.2 million in funding from SBA as one of only 10 Innovative Economy Award Winners. Since its creation two years ago, the Coalition has brought more than $1 million in new contracts to its small business members with companies like General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin and Boeing.
