Valerie resides in Uptown and proudly hails from North Carolina, where she grew up with five siblings. Her son, Randal E. Baker, is an accomplished industrial engineer and a graduate of North Carolina State University. Her daughter, Zekia N. Lewis, holds a degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
