Tom has been a resident of Pinellas County for many years and has watched it grow from a region dotted with orange groves and two-lane roads to the bustling urban area it is today. From condominiums to new homes to Sears catalog houses, from the beaches to downtown, Tom possesses knowledge of the area that one can only get by living here for decades! Tom holds the Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI) certification; the most prestigious designation available to a realtor, signifying demonstrated competence in many areas of real estate knowledge. He also is a certified Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE), which helps in the final stages of property sale or purchase. In his “prior life,” Tom worked in government, first at the Headquarters, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in Washington as part of the Federal Management Intern Program, and later in assembling program budgets. After returning to Florida, he provided program guidance and interpretation to staff at the Florida Department of Children and Families. Then he taught teens at risk of dropping out of school and finally served as a social worker with Pinellas County. Tom believes in giving back to our community. He proudly serves as Secretary of the Pinellas Realtors’ Organization (PRO) Board of Directors, as well being a Director on the Board of the Florida Association of Realtors (FAR). This year he is the Chairman of PRO’s Public Policy Committee, and will also serve on several state association committees, as well as a National Association of Realtors (NAR) committee. He recently served as Vice-Chairman of the Pinellas County Charter Review Commission.
