Proven CEO with multiple 7-figure and 8-figure exits. Proven retail media executive, DTC brand builder, e-commerce founder, corporate attorney, commercial real estate developer, college instructor, and private equity investor. Fluent in data science, artificial intelligence, paid media, financial forecasting, software dev, and M&A due diligence. I founded Litmus Media (later doing business as ValidClick) in my spare bedroom in 1999 and grew it into a $27 million annual revenue company before taking it public as Inuvo, Inc. in 2006. As founder and president, I was involved in every facet of the business—from sales and strategic partnerships to product development and legal negotiations. I built a network of 230 local search portals, syndicated ad inventory, and negotiated ad distribution deals with major players like Yahoo, Google, and Ask. I also co-invented patented advertising technologies for order abandonment and click fraud prevention. Litmus was named the fastest-growing company in the Kansas City metro area in both 2004 and 2005. Years later, I launched LocalRaces.com, where I built a small software development team to create registration and race management tools for running and cycling events. I led the platform from concept to launch, turning it into the nation’s largest endurance event search engine, with over 5 million athletes using our web and mobile platforms annually. I also raised venture capital and drafted the convertible debt instruments myself, handling both the technical and financial sides of the business. In addition, I founded Omni Brands, a direct-to-consumer product studio focused on lifestyle and performance cycling apparel. I scaled the business to over $5 million in annual online sales, leveraging Shopify and Amazon Seller Central as the core of our omnichannel strategy. I managed international supply chains, developed and marketed our private-label brands, and ran data-driven advertising campaigns across platforms like Facebook, Google, and Amazon. Since 2018, I have been in economic development and higher ed leadership. I managed business incubators, a large tech park, and a STEM workforce training center as the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce President and President of the Joplin Industrial Development Authority. I currently serve as an Associate Vice Chancellor for Economic Development at the University of Arkansas, where I leverage my leadership, business, and legal expertise to foster innovation and drive strategic initiatives as the Director of the UofA Collaborative in Bentonville.
