Thomas Kaufman is a Principal in Avison Young’s New York City office, where he specializes in the Downtown Manhattan submarket. Thomas brings over 40 years of commercial real estate experience to Avison Young, with a well-regarded track record of tenant representation and acting as leasing agent on behalf of major commercial property owners. Thomas has extensive experience working on behalf of non-profits, including The YWCA Retirement Fund, The Watson Foundation, The Whiting Foundation, American Numismatic Society, Literacy Assistance Center, Girls Inc., Inroads Inc., the Council on Accreditation, the Hetrick-Martin Institute Inc. and Olivet University. Prior to joining Avison Young, Thomas served as Chief Executive Officer at InterRelate Group, LLC, where he managed business development, established strategic partnerships and spearheaded the management of overall brokerage services. He also spent seven years as an Executive Director at Cushman & Wakefield and prior to that was with the New York office of CB Richard Ellis as a Senior Vice President.
