Steven Utley
Steve is a Founder and Senior Managing Director of Amicus Investors LLC. He has extensive experience and expertise in market-driven solutions to higher education infrastructure including facility programming, design, development, operational assessment and property management, based on efficiencies and best practices. Steve has been responsible for the design, development, leasing and management of a significant number of student housing and higher education properties. He also has experience in land use and zoning issues and the re-purposing of university assets. Prior to Amicus, Steve was President and CEO of JLA, LLC, a privately held investment company, and before that he was President of Inland American Communities Group, Inc., responsible for the strategic direction of the company and business development initiatives. Steve orchestrated more than $3 billion in multifamily and student housing transactions as President and CEO of FirstWorthing Company, a national multifamily and student housing real estate development and investment firm. Steve has served as a Director on the University of Texas at Dallas Development Board and currently serves in positions of leadership in many civic and community groups. Mr. Utley graduated from Southern Methodist University.
