Steven Davis founded Retail Investment Group in 1999, bringing over 20 years of experience to the commercial real estate business. The focus of the company is the sale of net leased investment properties, which are typically free-standing buildings like restaurants, banks, drug stores, fitness, medical, automotive, and general retail. Steven and his team have sold many Denny’s, Hooters, Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut, Burger King, Jack in the Box and other regional chain properties. They have also closed on Walgreens, CVS, Bank of America, LA Fitness, Dollar General and Advance Auto Parts to name a few. In the past 20 years, Steven has been involved in hundreds of transactions closing over $800,000,000 in total value. Transactions include individual property sales and portfolio transactions depending on the wants and needs of the client. Investors of these properties include REITS and individual investors. Many of these investors are completing 1031 tax-deferred exchanges where the taxable gain on the sale of a property is deferred by reinvesting the sale proceeds into a like-kind investment in under the timeframes established by the IRS. Steven is an expert in this field and at handling these transactions under time-sensitive timeframes. Steven grew up on Long Island and moved to Arizona in 1990 to attend Arizona State University, graduating with a degree in Marketing. He lives in Scottsdale with his wife and two teenage daughters, both of which are very active in sports. To keep up with his busy life Steven swims, runs and practices yoga.
