Scott Wierda

Scott Wierda is principal and managing partner of CWD Real Estate Investment located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. With more than 37 years of commercial real estate investment, development, management, and brokerage experience– Wierda co-manages the firm with Sam Cummings. They collectively oversee all acquisitions, leasing, management, and asset repositioning and development activities. Established in 2008, CWD Real Estate Investment owns and/or manages in excess of 3,000,000 sf of retail and office space primarily in the Grand Rapids, MI area. Wierda is co-owner and founder of Jade Pig Ventures, a West Michigan-based full-service commercial real estate investment, and development firm. Established in 1995, the company’s portfolio includes grocery-anchored shopping centers, mixed-use centers, single-tenant retail, restaurant, and office users as well as medical office buildings. As a guest speaker, Wierda has addressed public/private partnerships at the City Manager’s Consortium as well as mixed-use and public/private partnerships at the International Council of Shopping Centers - West Michigan Round Table. In addition, he has served on several panel discussions and round tables at State of Michigan ICSC events.
