Scott Knauer
Mr. Knauer is responsible for originating, analyzing and acquiring real estate related investment opportunities and assists in directing the firm's real estate investment strategy and capital formation efforts. He has more than 25 years of real estate experience and has participated as a principal and advisor in the acquisition, ownership, development, management, renovation and divestiture of more than $2 billion of real estate assets, located in select markets across the country. Prior to joining Pivotal, Mr. Knauer was the chief investment officer and a founding principal of Orion residential, a fully integrated national residential investment and development company. Mr. Knauer led the acquisition efforts on more than $1.2 billion of residential properties in partnership with GE Capital, Starwood, Guggenheim and other international real estate investors. Locally, Mr. Knauer is actively involved with a number of charitable organizations and a board member of Habitat for Humanity. Mr. Knauer holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Liverpool and is a licensed Arizona real estate agent, a member of the Urban Land Institute and frequent speaker at local and national real estate investment conferences.
