Scott Douglass
Scott Douglass is the Co-Founder and Co-Chief Investment Officer of Prime Finance, a private commercial real estate finance company headquartered in San Francisco. He leads the firm’s San Francisco office and oversees the CMBS and Special Situations strategies, serving on the investment committees for each of Prime Finance’s strategies. His responsibilities include guiding investment decisions across short and long-duration platforms and contributing to new business development initiatives. Under his leadership, Prime Finance has expanded its footprint in structured real estate finance, including originating bridge loans, acquiring CMBS B-pieces, and investing in distressed debt opportunities. Prior to co-founding Prime Finance in 2008, Douglass was a Managing Director at Natixis, where he was responsible for pricing, structuring, and executing commercial real estate loans intended for securitization. He began his career at Nomura Securities as part of the CMBS group, gaining foundational experience in structured finance and capital markets.
