Texas de Brazil Chairman and CEO Salah Izzedin wields decades of entrepreneurial experience. After entering the oil business in 1972, Salah Izzedin successfully expanded the Latina Oil Corporation into a multimillion-dollar endeavor. Along with two other associates, Izzedin helped expand the Central and South America’s oil trading venture. Salah Izzedin later became President and Chief Executive Officer of Oceanic Oil Corporation, continuing the oil industry’s international success by representing European interests in Central and South American markets. After gaining extensive experience with leading oil companies, entrepreneur Salah Izzedin broke into the world of entertainment, where he spent over a decade contributing to the entertainment industry with his Dallas and Houston businesses. Upon diverting his entrepreneurial attention toward a new venture, Salah Izzedin created Texas de Brazil, a Brazilian steakhouse with over a dozen locations around the country. The nationally recognized restaurant chain has received countless awards, including “Best Carnivorous Experience,” “Best Salad Bar,” “Diners Choice Award 2001,” “American Airlines Choice Restaurant,” “Best Digestion Suggestion,” “Best Restaurant in Memphis,” “Best Brazilian Restaurant 2005,” “America’s Top Restaurant,” “Best Romantic Dining,” “Miami: Best Restaurant,” and “Most Viewed Restaurants-Dallas/Fort Worth.” With 15 locations in eight states and one establishment in Aruba, Texas de Brazil continues to expand throughout the nation. In 2010, Salah Izzedin plans to introduce two new Texas locations. The following year, five new cities can enjoy Texas de Brazil, and in 2012, the unique Texas de Brazil dining experience heads to Salt Lake City, Utah. Offering his customers a wide variety of delicious food options, Salah Izzedin helped create Texas de Brazil’s menu, which includes at least 40 different salad-area options; side items like garlic mashed potatoes, sweet fried bananas, and Brazilian cheese bread; slow-roasted and well-seasoned cuts of flame-grilled beef, pork, lamb, chicken, and Brazilian sausage; a wide variety of desserts; and an endless selection of worldly wines. Salah Izzedin holds an MBA from the Columbia Business School at Columbia University.
