
a life-long Lexingtonian, graduate of Henry Clay High School and the University of Kentucky, started his accounting practice in 1969 and in 1986 became the founding partner of Switzer, McGaughey & Company, PSC. His years of experience practicing accounting and tax law led to numerous business ventures including real estate development, restaurants, athletic clubs and banking. His expertise in these areas has been invaluable in servicing a wide variety of our clientele. He has served on many Boards through the years and also served as Governor Ernie Fletcher’s Campaign Treasurer. Ron is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants. Ron has been active with Lexington’s youth in coaching baseball from Little League through Babe Ruth and is married to Claudette Switzer who is also our Office Manager. They have four children and sixteen grandchildren.
