Ronald Akin

Ron Akin has more than 44 years of property management experience, and it’s that experience that molds the business philosophy of Sun-Ridge Management Group. Before SunRidge, Mr. Akin served for eight years as senior vice president for the western division of Johnstown Management Company, where he supervised 5 VPs, 20 AVPs, and a real estate portfolio comprised of 175 apartment communities and 45,000 units spanning the western section of the U.S. His real estate career began in 1974 as a property manager for Gold Crown Properties in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he rose through the ranks to the position of vice president, heading staff that included 5 AVPs and overseeing a portfolio consisting of 40 properties with 7,500 units. Mr. Akin has managed multifamily properties in 38 of the 48 contiguous states.
