
Briscoe is a co-founder and principal of Meriwether Partners and has over 18 years of real estate investment and management experience. His responsibilities include deal sourcing and the execution of acquisitions and dispositions. In addition, Briscoe is responsible for asset management. Prior to co-founding Meriwether Partners, Briscoe was a principal and CEO of Martin Smith Inc for three years. Briscoe ran the firm's seven million square foot management portfolio, overseeing all asset and property management, leasing, and construction management functions. In addition, he had overall responsibility for the firm's strategic direction and provided leadership to the various business units by establishing short- and long-term objectives, plans, policies and procedures. Before joining Martin Smith Inc, Briscoe spent five years with the Investment Banking Group at Jones Lang LaSalle where he was in charge of the West Coast region. While at the firm, Briscoe's team closed over $2 billion in acquisition, disposition and capital raising assignments including some of the largest deals in the nation, such as the sale of the U.S. Bank Centre in Seattle , Fox Plaza in Los Angeles , San Diego Tech Center , and Citicorp Center in San Francisco . Prior to Jones Lang LaSalle, Briscoe was a Senior Real Estate Consultant at Kenneth Leventhal & Company, specializing in transaction-related advisory assignments. His experience also includes five years at Westamerica Bank in various capacities, including special asset management for non-performing corporate and real estate loan portfolios. Briscoe earned a BS in Finance from Oregon State University and an MBA from the University of Southern California .
