
RJ Vara is a senior vice president and oversees the office and industrial practice of Northmarq in the Pacific Northwest. RJ specializes in advising clients on the acquisition and disposition of office and industrial assets throughout the region. His representation is diversified across key ownership profiles such as private capital, family office, owner-operators, institutions, and developers. He approaches each situation individually and provides data-driven solutions. Prior to joining Northmarq, RJ lead the office and industrial practice at M&M for 6 years in his capacity as a managing director. In His time at M&M, RJ was regularly recognized as one of the top 5 office and industrial brokers across the country. RJ also attained a breadth of real estate experience through roles focused on commercial lending, private equity, and EB-5 investment. This provides him with the unique ability to analyze problems and opportunities form the vantage point of all involved stakeholders. RJ is regularly involved in philanthropy for healthcare organizations and programs that are dedicated toward children with special needs. He received his bachelor’s degree in finance with a concentration in real estate from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. Prior to his founding The Vara Group, RJ attained a breadth of real estate experience from previous roles in private equity, commercial lending, and tenant representation. This experience enables Mr. Vara to have the unique ability to analyze each opportunity from the perspective of every stakeholder involved. Mr. Vara graduated from the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and a minor in Real Estate. When he is not maximizing value for clients, he spends his time snowboarding, golfing, traveling, and enjoying time with friends and family.
