
Rick Potter oversees all Austin operations and is responsible for the development of office, industrial and retail projects in the city. In this role, Potter sources land for new developments, plans and oversees the design of new projects, pursues financing for each project, secures entitlements for each new development, prepares a financial analysis and oversees each project budget; hires and oversees all consultants; coordinates and oversees all construction management; and plans, implements and manages the marketing program for Koontz McCombs Austin. Prior to joining Koontz McCombs, Mr. Potter was Vice President of Development with Transwestern Commercial Services, has more than 21 years of commercial development, marketing and leasing, and project management experience with office, industrial, and retail projects in both urban and sub-urban markets. Since 1997, Rick has been directly involved in the development of more than 2.3 million square feet of office and industrial space in Central Texas valued in excess of $110 million. These projects included: Southpark Commerce Center I, II, and III; Cameron Road Corporate Park I and II; Monterey Oaks Corporate Park and Travis Oaks at Southwest Parkway, all located in Austin; and University Heights Business Center and Northpark Corporate Center, located in San Antonio. Prior to moving to Austin in 1997, Mr. Potter was Director of Marketing & Leasing for Miller & Smith Commercial in Tysons Corner, Virginia for 13 years.
