Rick Chinn

Rick Chinn, Jr. was born and grew up in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1992. He also received his general contractor's license in 1999 and his affiliate broker's license in 2001 from the State of Tennessee. He and his wife Heather were married in 1992 and have four children. Rick has served local boards and commissions including Chairman of Oak Ridge Economic Partnership, Chairman of the New Century Alliance, Vice Chairman of the Oak Ridge Industrial Development Board, elected Vice Chair of the City of Oak Ridge Charter Commission by the voters of Oak Ridge, and a board member of the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce, the Melton Hill Regional Development Association and the St. Mary's School. Rick was nominated as a finalist for the Young Entrepreneur Award by the Knoxville Area Partnership in 2006. He has also served on the board of the East Tennessee Chapter of the Big Brothers and Big Sisters and has worked closely with the Montessori Center of Oak Ridge, the Boy Scouts and Children's Museum of Oak Ridge in fund raising and special projects. Rick's roles at R & R Properties include lease negotiation, space planning, public relations and community outreach.
