Richard Myers

Richard Myers is a partner and broker at the Bates & Myers Company, celebrating 28 years in business. He has been married to his wife, Nancy, for 40 years, and has 2 sons, Mitch and Whit. He is also blessed with four grandchildren, J.R., Charlie, Merritt, and August. Richard’s formal education includes a Bachelor of Science Degree from Stephen E. Austin State University and was a high school coach for 3 years, immediately upon graduating from college. Thereafter, he worked for a directional drilling company in sales for 4 years and, subsequently, in the commercial real estate business for 34 years. The Bates & Myers Company has concentrated on the industrial markets along the Stemmons Corridor. The areas have transformed into Design District showrooms, live-work, flex, and retail properties. The industrial market is still changing daily as users move away from distribution and warehouse only. The company’s goal is to have as much knowledge and expertise regarding these properties, along with tracking all of the tenants and owners in the Stemmons Corridor and various surrounding areas.
