Currently serving as Executive Vice President of VanTrust’s Kansas City office, Rich Muller has been with VanTrust since its inception in 2010. Rich’s primary responsibilities consist of identifying, investigating, and managing new development opportunities in Kansas City and the surrounding region. Rich is a registered architect who has worked in the design, construction, and real estate industries since 1993. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Kansas. Rich has cultivated a broad spectrum of commercial real estate experience in a wide variety of product types including office, mixed-use, multifamily, and industrial. He has completed development and redevelopment projects in the Midwest with a total value exceeding $1 billion. Rich serves on the Johnson County Community College Foundation Board of Directors, the Kansas City Chamber’s Access to Capital Committee and is involved with the Urban Neighborhood Initiative. Rich’s project experience includes several notable local projects, such as the development of new headquarters buildings for Burns & McDonnell, Kiewit Engineering, AMC, Freightquote, Scor, Tortoise Capital, Dairy Farmers of America, Creative Planning, as well as the Whole Foods-anchored Brookside 51 mixed use project and the redevelopment of the former Meadowbrook Country Club into Meadowbrook Park.
