Richard Kave joined Lee & Associates NYC (Lee NYC) in 2011 as a managing director in its retail leasing division and currently holds the position of Executive Managing Director. Mr. Kave is a 22 year veteran of the commercial real estate industry, following a successful career in the restaurant business as CFO of FoodNet, Inc where he was responsible for lease agreements. In that capacity he negotiated a Master Lease Agreement with Lowe’s Home Centers, amongst many others. In 2002, he joined Garrick-Aug Associates, a commercial retail leasing firm, and later moved to Winick Realty, where he served as its director of international real estate. During his years in real estate, Mr. Kave has concluded transactions with such notable clients as Chase Bank, Valley National Bank (acquisitions), UPS Stores, Target Stores, Starbucks, Brooklyn Harvest Markets, Buddy’s Dog Den, AKC Canine Care, Running Paws, D is For Doggy and many others. He has also represented The Durst Organization, Blackstone Real Estate, Artimus Construction and many other New York City landlords and developers. Mr.Kave has served as an advisor to several real estate developers including Investcorp International Hospitality Group and HAL Advisors on projects in Louisville Kentucky and in Senegal West Africa and the Middle East. He is a LEED Green Associate, and has consulted on LEED projects internationally. Mr. Kave holds the Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of New Mexico and subsequently completed the Financial Executive Management Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He resides in Manhattan with his 2 rescue dogs.
