Rafael Perez

Rafael A. Perez, Esq. is a founding partner at D1 PropertyGroup. Mr. Perez comes to D1 from a legal and construction background. He has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1987 practicing in the areas of real estate and construction law and is Board Certified in Construction Law. Leal experience includes working with large international law firms representing in-bound foreign investment and more recently as in-house counsel for the Miami office of a large national commercial brokerage firm. Mr. Perez has extensive experience in large commercial real estate transactions and in leasing transactions. Mr. Perez worked as in-house counsel for a large foreign developer building a condominium tower in Miami and was in charge of all aspects of the managing the construction and sales process. In the late 1990’s, Mr. Perez obtained his general contractor’s license and worked on several high profile construction projects, including the foundations for the North Terminal Development at Miami International Airport – a $4,000,000 bonded project. He has a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Miami and a Law Degree from Tulane University in New Orleans. He has lived continuously in Miami since early childhood and is married with two children.
