As founder of PCI | HealthDev, Dr. Vergne-Marini is responsible for establishing and implementing the Company's overall corporate business strategy. He brings over 35 years of experience in patient care and healthcare-related businesses. Prior to founding the Company, Dr. Vergne-Marini was the President and CEO of Dallas Nephrology Associates and Chairman of the Board of Renaissance Health Care. He is currently the Program Director for Transplantation and Renal Disease at Methodist Dallas Medical Center, as well as an appointed Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, and the Managing Partner for several existing physician real estate partnerships. In addition to holding a board position at PCI | HealthDev, Dr. Vergne-Marini also holds board positions at Caduceus Medical Holdings and serves on the Board of PVM Consulting, LTD d/b/a MonteSacro Capital Partners. Dr. Vergne-Marini holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Puerto Rico, and an M.D. degree from the University of Maryland Medical School. He completed Internship and Residency programs and the NIH Fellowship in Cardiology at the University Hospital of the Puerto Rico School of Medicine, where he was Chief Resident. Dr. Vergne-Marini then completed his NIH Nephrology Fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center, University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He is board certified with the Diplomat National Board of Medical Examiners, Diplomat American Board of Medicine, and Diplomat American Board of Nephrology. Dr. Vergne-Marini is a member of multiple medical societies of nephrology, including being a founding member of the American Society of Transplant Physicians and the Texas Transplant Society.
