Palmer is a Senior Managing Director, Head of Industrial and Logistics Americas. Palmer and his team have developed or acquired over 50 million square feet of industrial product and manage a portfolio of over 23 million square feet in four countries. Palmer has led all phases of development and acquisitions and participates in investing and operating a portfolio representing over $7 billion in value. Starting his Hines career twenty years ago in a construction trailer in Monterrey, Mexico, Palmer began his Hines tenure by growing the firm’s industrial presence in Mexico, where he lived for five years. After moving from Monterrey to Houston, Palmer opened the Hines industrial and logistics business for Hines in the United States. Today, Palmer and his team are responsible for the development and acquisition of over 170 light industrial projects across the firm’s geography. Palmer works with investors to target a range of risk profiles, from multinational institutional investors to local family offices. Palmer is an officer and on the board of directors of the Women’s Home, which builds communities that strengthen women and support families as they reclaim their stability. He is also on the board of directors of the 100 Club of Houston, which provides immediate financial assistance to the dependent families of peace officers and firefighters who are killed or seriously injured in the line of duty. Palmer actively sponsors the Escuela Palapa, a multicultural educational institution in Todos Santos, Mexico. Palmer is on the Real Estate Finance & Investment Board at the University of Texas and is a member of the roundtable at the Mexico Center at the Baker Institute of Public Policy at Rice University.
