Omer Ahmed is a Principal & Chief Development Officer for Seagis Property Group LP and responsible for the leadership of the Company’s development platform. The company’s portfolio spans more than 12 million square feet of space and includes 190 buildings in New Jersey, New York City, and South Florida. Prior to Seagis Omer joined Russo Development LLC in May 2006 and was responsible for property and land acquisitions for complete or partial redevelopment. His Experience also includes (7) years at Accenture, Inc., a global management consulting firm that specializes in delivering innovation and high-performance business solutions. Mr. Ahmed was an executive in the management consulting division specifically focused on quantitative, qualitative, and technological optimization in the Communications & High Tech industry. Mr. Ahmed was consistently ranked in the top five (5) percent of his peers at Accenture which employs one hundred seventy five thousand (175,000) employees and whose 2005 annual revenue exceeded nineteen (19) billion dollars. Consequently, Mr. Ahmed worked across the globe on some of the most prominent transactions in Accenture history. Mr. Ahmed has strengthened Russo’s ability to identify, develop, and manage a variety of properties with a special emphasis on underutilized, blighted, and environmentally-challenged sites. Mr. Ahmed is an active member of the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties (NAIOP) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). Mr. Ahmed has led various programs to increase career awareness for individuals from under-privileged and minority backgrounds. This includes serving as co-chairman of the Washington Heights Basketball League in Washington Heights, New York; organizing minority executive functions, and serving as an INROADS mentor for college seniors. Mr. Ahmed graduated from Lafayette College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Business. He received various awards including honors recognition in Finance for his senior thesis titled “An Empirical Analysis- Why Companies go Public?” Mr. Ahmed has served the college in various functions including service on the Board of Trustees for Economic Policy.
