Mitchell has worked on over $6 billion of real estate transactions, spanning various aspects of real estate including investment analysis and underwriting, development, brokerage, asset management and loan sizing. Prior to co-founding River Rock Capital, Mitchell was the Director of Real Estate at Old City Investment Partners, where his focus was on sourcing new acquisitions, creating joint venture structures for development opportunities, as well as asset management of the company’s real estate holdings. Before Old City, he worked for Cushman & Wakefield (formerly Massey Knakal Realty Services) as a senior analyst for one of the partners of the firm. Mitchell also worked for Vornado Realty Trust as an MBA Research Fellow, as well as Meridian Capital Group. Mitchell earned an MBA, with a concentration in Real Estate and Finance, from Baruch Zicklin School of Business.
