Michael Zimmerman
Michael Zimmerman serves as a Senior Vice President at Katz & Associates, where he leads the firm’s national Investment Sales team, specializing in the purchase and sale of retail properties. He provides high-quality services to support investors’ strategic and financial objectives. With over 20 years of experience at both national and boutique firms, Michael has built an impressive portfolio totaling more than $1 billion in transactions. He joined Katz in 2025 with a wealth of industry knowledge, proven best practices, and extensive experience in the sale of shopping centers, Triple Net (NNN) assets, and sale-leasebacks. Michael’s primary focus has been representing developers and selling new construction retail properties. Clients have included family offices, private and public institutions, and high-net-worth individuals. Michael graduated from San Diego State University with a BA in Public Administration and is a longstanding member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He is a licensed broker in both Florida and North Carolina and has transacted in over half the states in the US. He loves to see live music and is an avid fan of the LA Lakers, LA Dodgers, and Las Vegas Raiders. Michael currently lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, with his wife and their two daughters.
