Michael Ryan

Mike Ryan is a Vice Chair at CBRE's Debt & Structured Finance Group in the Atlanta office. In this capacity, he is responsible for new business development, strategic initiatives, and arranging first-trust financing, mezzanine debt, preferred equity, and joint venture equity for all types of commercial real estate assets. Prior to joining CBRE, he founded Cushman & Wakefield’s Atlanta office’s Equity, Debt & Structured finance team, where he is responsible for expanding the firm’s southeast business platform. Prior to moving to Atlanta, Mr. Ryan previously worked with Cushman & Wakefield’s Debt and Equity Group based in Washington, D.C. staring in 2004. During his career, Mr. Ryan has facilitated the closing of over $17 billion in transactions, including senior debt, equity, preferred equity, mezzanine, and construction financing. Mr. Ryan is consistently ranked as a Top 100 broker in North American, has been named a Top 50 Most Important Figure in Commercial Real Estate by Commercial Observer and Top Mortgage Broker in the Southeast by Connect Media. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Ryan worked at MONY Realty Capital, an institutional lender, where he was part of a loan origination team based in Atlanta that was responsible for placing first-trust mortgages, mezzanine loans, bridge loans, open-ended and construction-perm loans. In addition to loan origination and loan origination support, Mr. Ryan oversaw a $200-million loan portfolio. Mr. Ryan received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a member of Urban Land Institute, National Multifamily Housing Council, ISCS and the Mortgage Bankers Association.
