Michael has worked in CRE industry for the past 35-years. For the past 6-years, he has worked in real-estate asset acquisition, and disposal for GSA in the Office of Real Estate (ORED) for the Department of Defense, US Department of the Treasury, and the Executive Office of the President. Michael stated his real estate-career at Brookfield Properties, in Washington, DC as a Space Analysist where he managed, converted, and delivered (in a team) a complete lease administration and spatial-tracking information system of commercial real estate holdings of their 21 million s.f. of Class-A office buildings for the firm covering the entire Washington, D.C., New York, NY, and Houston, TX portfolio, under the ANSI/BOMA Z.65.1 standard. He was the chief liaison interfacing with the landlord and all new/existing tenants with programming requirements, lease analysis, property management, tenant square footage growth projections, architectural test fits, tenant test fits, and design development; managing these projects through to certificate of occupancy (C.O.). During his time at Brookfield, he achieved 100% coverage for the entire DC, Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, New York, NY, and Houston, TX Class-A office CRE portfolio in CAD for spatial management, growth projections, and lease management/administration. He was an instrumental team member for the sale of 1225 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington, D.C. to the World Bank, and the lease of some 300,000 sf of their newly constructed Class-A office building at 77 K Street NE, Washington, D.C. to GSA for the Internal Revenue Service, and their partner, Mathmatica. Before being asked to come aboard Brookfield Properties, he was the lead broker for Cushman & Wakefield on the Treasure Coast of Florida. The firm put him in this management position to establish a presence where they had none before. With teamwork, support, and coordination from the West Palm Beach, Orlando, and Tampa offices, he established Cushman & Wakefield as the multi-year top brokerage firm in Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River Counties, Florida. He was recognized as the top office leasing Broker for Vero Beach, Florida in 2016 & 2017. The top development broker representing the largest commercial land sale, and development deal in Indian River County for 2017, and the overall top Broker for Cushman & Wakefield in Indian River County, from 2015 through 2018. Michael is a decorated veteran of the United States Army, Airborne, 82nd Airborne division 2nd 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, with 178 jumps. He has two campaign ribbons, and a presidential unit citation, awarded while tasked to the U.S. Consulate in Rome. He is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in the state of Florida, and Washington, D.C. He is ANSI/BOMA Z65.1 certified, and is well versed in AutoCAD and REVIT, designing with the software (AutoCAD) since its’ first release in 1986. He has a current architectural certification in AutoCAD Architectural Desktop 2020, and provides architectural consultation to commercial and residential owners and landlords. He recently completed the design of a second story addition for his clients’ 1808 home in Georgetown. He is also a professional photographer, having his photography presented in Architectural Digest Magazine, Washington Life Magazine, and the Palm Beach Post.
