Max Swerdloff joined the New York office of Alvarez and Marsal in March of 2024 as a Senior Analyst. Mr. Swerdloff was previously the Director of Retail for Kushner Companies and was responsible for overseeing leasing and management of 2.2 million square feet of retail space and generated over $200 million of additional value. Max is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in real estate management, underwriting, and brokerage. With a background in overseeing retail portfolios in prominent locations across NewYork, New Jersey, and South Florida, Max has a proven track record of success in facilitating transactions on various types of asset classes. Max was able to source and lease the entire retail to Target in one of the largest developments in Jersey City, which has sparked the transformation of Journal Square. He was also a key factor in completing a transaction with Whole Foods at the redevelopment of Monmouth Mall, which will consist of 900,000 square feet of retail, 1,000 luxury apartments and 85,000 square feet of medical spaces. Max’s passion for food and beverage enabled him to bring Major Food Group’s Torrisi into the iconic Puck Building for their flagship location in their extensive restaurant portfolio. In 2019 Max was named to Commercial Observers illustrious Top Young Professionals list. Before his tenure at Kushner Companies, where he played a pivotal role in managing their retail portfolio, Max served as an Associate Director at Eastern Consolidated. In this capacity, he honed his expertise in real estate brokerage and advisory services, demonstrating a keen understanding of market dynamics and a commitment to delivering exceptional results for clients.
