Max Nathan joined the IPO team in January 2025 to assist in the firm’s expansion in Indiana, as well as providing multifamily investment services in Michigan. Prior to joining IPO, Max was part of the SVN brokerage office in Metro-Detroit handling a variety of commercial real estate transactions. Along with his brokerage role, he was a co-founder of Sylvan Lake Capital focusing on sourcing distressed debt investments for real estate and private equity funds. Additionally, he provided developers and borrowers resources for commercial real estate loans with various lending partners. Max entered the commercial real estate industry as a project manager with a national real estate developer, where he gained expertise in commercial development, along with exposure to acquisitions, financing, and asset management. Max has also worked in financial services obtaining his series 6 & 63 licenses focusing on financial planning and investment advisory. Max graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He is licensed as a broker in Indiana, and a sales associate in Michigan.
