Matt Aitken

Matt Aitken is a commercial real estate agent that's been with Sherman and Hemstreet for 10 yrs. One of my greatest assets is knowing Augusta's downtown historic business district as well as living here with my family. Being a former Augusta Commissioner, has given me a great understanding of the needs of the city, zoning and permitting process. The last several years, I worked on several large strategic tracts of land getting them rezoning and sold. Lastly, I can assist with diversifying estates portfolios. Prior to joining Sherman and Hemstreet, Matt was employed with Olin Corporation for 19 years. Matt currently sits on the Trustee Board of Westminster Schools of Augusta, and The Salvation Army. Matt is married to Melissa and has one daughter 19. He loves working from his 150 yr. old porch in historic downtown Augusta.
