Martin Petersen

Martin "Pete" Petersen, the Chairman and CEO of The Hallmark Companies, has been at the helm of this multi-family real estate investment, development, and management company since 1997, overseeing all investment, financing, development, and property management activity. The Hallmark Companies have successfully acquired, disposed of, and managed a portfolio of 300+ multi-family properties. In addition, Martin has spearheaded the rehabilitation and preservation of over 4,500 units of multi-family housing. He also oversees the day-to-day operations of two property management companies that collectively manage approximately 15,000 units. With nearly five decades of experience in the industry, Martin has gained extensive knowledge and expertise in all aspects of real estate investment, development, and management. He holds an MBA in Real Estate from Georgia State University and a BBA in Business from Emory University. Martin is an active Georgia Real Estate Salesperson and Broker, a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management, Atlanta Apartments Association, National Apartment Association, SAHMA, CARH, and The GA Affordable Housing Coalition.
