Martin Bowker

Martin is the Partner-in-Charge of the Audit Services department for the Tampa office of Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, L.L.P. He was licensed as a Florida CPA in 1971 and, over the years, he has responded to client needs with a full range of high value services for both public and closely held businesses. He brings over 30 years of experience to clients in manufacturing, retail trade, financial institutions, wholesale distributors, professional service organizations, construction and agri-business. He has been team captain on a variety of American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA) peer reviews. The majority of these reviews have been for accounting firms with an SEC practice. In addition, he is chairman of the audit committee for the North American operation of the International Group of Accounting Firms. Both jobs have given him a unique insight into the best practices of other major accounting firms and how they solve problems for their clients. Martin graduated from the University of Tennessee with bachelor’s degrees in both Business Administration and Accounting. He is a member of the AICPA (Peer Review Committee), the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Community Bankers’ Association and the International Group of Accounting Firms (Audit Committee Chairman).
