
Marta began her professional career as an auditor at the multinational auditing firm Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & CO (now KPMG). After her appointment as State Auditor and Comptroller, she took on positions of maximum responsibility in the field of Internal Control, Account Auditing and Economic-Financial Management, both in the General State Administration (General Comptroller of the State Administration and the Institute of Accounting and Auditing of Accounts) and in large public and private business groups (Grupo Initenio – now SEPI – Grupo FCC and Grupo Correos). Throughout her professional career, she has been a member of the Board of Directors of various public and private companies, has participated in the preparation of standards and reports on Accounting and Auditing of Accounts, and has given courses and seminars on these subjects. She has been the Financial and Economic Director of Paradores since 2012.
