ABOUT

Mark serves as the Managing Director for JLL’s Retail team in Dallas/Ft. Worth and specializes in tenant representation and agency leasing in the Dallas/Southwest market. He helps retailers identify and secure optimal locations to reach customers and drive value for their organization. Additionally, on behalf of shopping center owners and investors, he is responsible for developing and executing leasing strategies to maximize each property’s full potential. Mark’s 35 plus years of experience has made him a valuable resource for some of the top retailers and shopping center owners in the U.S., where his practice has extended beyond local and regional trade areas to include much of the nation. Experience Prior to joining JLL, Mark served as Executive Vice President of, first, Staubach Retail, then SRS Real Estate Partners. His focus was on advising regional and national retail users and developers of real estate. His accomplishments include the entry of 19 In-N-Out Burgers into the Dallas/Fort Worth market as well as assisting Wachovia Bank with their entry into DFW with close to 100 new financial centers in a four-year period. He also completed an assignment for Archon Group in their redevelopment of Prestonwood Town Center with Barnes & Noble, Walmart, Office Depot, Michael’s, Petco, DSW and Best Buy. Prior to joining SRS Real Estate Partners, Mark was a key partner at Cornerstone Commercial Real Estate. During his time there, he and his business partner, Clay Smith, completed over 120 leases throughout the United States and Canada. As a tenant representative, he has negotiated over five million square feet of space for his clients saving them an estimated $14 million in negotiated rent payouts and has negotiated over $125 million in land acquisitions.
