Mark Mallus is has seventeen years of successful experience in creating value for property owners in the Washington, D.C. Metro market. Specializing in Landlord Representation, he delivers results for his clients by combining aggressive, creative marketing techniques and an unequaled, in-depth knowledge of downtown Washington, D.C. Real Estate with extensive strategic planning experience. In 2000 Mr. Mallus was among the top five leasing producers in the District of Columbia and among the top eight in the entire Metro area. He is the recipient of numerous awards for performance and service, such as the "Top Five" designation and WDCAR's "Washington, D.C. Sales Transaction of the Year Award", and in 1996 received "Transaction of the Year Award" for CB Richard Ellis' Northeast Region. In 1999, Mr. Mallus was awarded the "Best Leasing Transaction" by the WDCAR, and "Best Leasing Transaction" and "Best Overall Real Estate Transaction" by the Washington Business Journal. Mr. Mallus has been instrumental in the creation and redevelopment of Washington's high tech corridor, NoMa (North of Massachusetts Avenue). He was recognized for outstanding service as Chairman of the Washington, D.C. Association of Realtors Zoning and New Development Committee, and maintains the many relationships he established there with developers, real estate attorneys, and city planning, zoning and preservation officials. He was also Chairman of the Association's Investment Sales and Mortgage Finance Committee. He is recognized as an authority on transferable development rights (TDR's) and is an expert witness to the Zoning Commission on this subject.
