Madelaine was raised by a broker—her mother—and entered the business at just eight years old, earning money to perfect phone messages in the days before answering machines. In her household, the red phone was strictly for business, while personal calls were made on the green phone, perhaps her mother’s clever way of teaching priorities. In 1978, Madelaine began working in her mother’s office after school, a role she continued intermittently for a decade. By 1988, she earned her real estate license and has been selling real estate full-time ever since. Among her proudest achievements is successfully raising two wonderful daughters, a milestone she considers her greatest accomplishment.
