ABOUT

Luke Scheer is an Executive Vice President of the National Hotels Investment Sales platform in Canada, based in Toronto. With responsibilities spanning across the country, Mr. Scheer works alongside colleague Mark Sparrow to lead and grow CBRE’s Hotels platform in Canada. With over 15 years of hospitality sector experience, Mr. Scheer has held leadership positions with several prominent industry entities including Delta Hotels, InnVest REIT, and JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group. Over his career, Luke has been involved in over 100 transactions valued in excess of $4.8 billion. Prior to joining CBRE’s Hotels Group, Luke spent nearly five years with JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group where he was most recently Executive Vice President of Hotels in Canada. Mr. Scheer played a pivotal role in the national investment sales platform and lead key strategic disposition processes from beginning through to completion. Previous to this, Mr. Scheer has had diverse and extensive hotel real estate experience within the Canadian landscape including serving as Director or Development for Delta Hotels, asset management roles with InnVest REIT and Legacy Hotels REIT, and valuation and consulting experience with PKF Consulting Canada. Luke regularly speaks at industry events and conferences across Canada and is a member of the Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB), the Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) and the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Guelph specializing in Hospitality and Tourism Management.
