Lamar McKeen

I am a lifelong resident of LaGrange, attended LaGrange public schools, and am a graduate of Auburn University. My wife, Dorothy, and I, have 2 children, Dennis who lives in Atlanta, Ga., and Molly who is a licensed REALTOR® with our company. I also have two beautiful granddaughters by my oldest daughter, Dee, who lives in LaGrange and works in the Insurance business. For several years I was a Scout Leader where my wife and I helped my son, Dennis achieved his Eagle Scout status. This is the reason I actively encourage local youth to get involved in scouting programs. I currently financially support athletic programs by supporting teams through LaGrange Parks and Recreation Center. I am a member of First United Methodist Church where I currently serve as Sunday School Superintendent and have for the past 17 years. I not only hold my Georgia Real Estate Brokers License, but I am also a Licensed Contractor. I have been an active real estate investor for the past 30 years and became a REALTOR® in 2008. I served as the Local Boards State Director from 2012–2020 and currently serve on various committees at the local board I was appointed as a Trustee on the State Scholarship Committee for three years, 2013-2015. I graduated from the Georgia Association REALTORS® Leadership Academy in 2011, and received the honor of REALTOR® of the Year in 2012 from the local board. I received the MRP designation (Military Relocation Professional Certification) in 2014. I served as a board member for American Red Cross of Central Midwest Georgia. I currently made the Professional Achievement Award with the Troup County Board of REALTORS ®. I promote and encourage education and have shown that commitment by taking over 200 hours of Continuing Education classes since October 2008.
