Krista Cobb

Krista co-founded DBA in 1992 as a board member and its chief officer for all finance, human resources, accounting and administrative manager of the business. With a background in team leadership and office management, Krista developed the agency policies and direction for the operational aspects of the business. Growing from a basement operation with her husband and Creative Director, Daniel Cobb, Krista recruited the talent and developed funding mechanisms to bring the agency from a startup to a top ten Detroit firm. Doubling the business during several years of the late 90s, DBA grew to $23 million in billings by 2015, with a book of business approaching $30 million in 2016. DBA has been named among Detroit’s Future 50 as one its fastest growing companies, and it has been awarded several times for its involvement of minorities and women on its leadership team. Krista developed the agency recruitment model to develop young talent into cutting edge creative thinkers. Coming from the operational side of the business, Krista brings a financial and structural balance to a creative shop. In addition to building the advertising agency, Krista developed a real estate business to purchase property and lease back to DBA under a separate entity called On The Main properties, of which she is 100% owner. This business currently owns property valued in access of $2 million. Krista has a total of 31 years in office administration and accounting experience. Krista’s education is in accounting at Oakland Community College. Prior to founding DBA, Krista previously worked at World Computer and International Business Centers as an office manager and financial controller.
