Keri Vellis

ABOUT

Keri Vellis is a Marin County, California native whose life and work are rooted in service, compassion, and community. After meeting her husband, a longtime Sonoma County Sheriff, they built a family dedicated to helping others. As emergency foster parents, Keri and her husband opened their home to 21 children and ultimately adopted three. These experiences inspired her to write three children’s books and an autobiography, offering encouragement and understanding to families and children navigating the foster care system. Keri’s advocacy has been featured in People Magazine, Woman’s World, The Ellen Show, Katie Couric’s Wake Up Call, ABC, and Fox, where she has shared her message of resilience, hope, and the power of fostering and adoption. Alongside her advocacy, Keri brings over 30 years of real estate experience, passionately helping clients find homes where they can thrive. Her work—whether supporting children or guiding clients—is rooted in compassion, integrity, and dedication. When she’s not writing or serving her clients, Keri enjoys time with her family, sharing her story to uplift others, and staying actively involved in her community.
