Justin Shepherd is Co-Head and Vice Chairman of Newmark’s U.S. Healthcare Capital Markets practice, working alongside fellow Co-Heads and Vice Chairmen Ben Appel and Jay Miele. Based in the firm’s Irvine, California office, Shepherd specializes in Medical Outpatient Building (MOB) and healthcare real estate sales, recapitalizations, joint venture equity, and financing transactions across the United States. Throughout the course of his career, Sheperd has facilitated over $20 billion in healthcare real estate transactions and advisory services, advising some of the largest and most successful REITs, funds, advisors and limited partners both domestically and globally. Shepherd joined Newmark in 2025 after spending 15 years at Eastdil Secured as the Healthcare Team lead.
