
Joseph Nichols has served as the Director of Research at DNCRE since 2018 and also became COO in 2020. He is responsible for developing and administering company processes and identifying development opportunities for the company, clients, and investors. His proficiency in mastering new technologies has helped to rapidly modernize company systems and procedures. Joseph graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University in 2010. He worked extensively researching battery and fuel cell technology, including an internship with NASA’s material science division in Langley, Virginia. After graduation, he spent time in China, working for an environmental engineering firm, where he facilitated between US and China-based engineering teams on waste management projects. Joseph holds an M.S. in Bioengineering from the University of Utah, where he researched nanomedicine, drug transport, and extended-release PREP. He was awarded the Don B. Olsen Bioengineering Fellowship celebrating up-and-coming engineers in the field. He has published extensively in prestigious journals and was a sought-after contributor to textbooks and literature reviews. He is now applying his extensive expertise in research and data analysis to create real estate value. He is able to synthesize numerous tools and information sources to help clients and investors best understand property values in the market context.
