Founder & Chief Executive Officer Joseph Hoffman saw the generational changes that were driving redevelopment and revitalizing the community in Williamsburg and foresaw that this creative energy would soon propel redevelopment in other under-appreciated neighborhoods. In 2000, Joseph acquired an under-utilized factory in nearby Bushwick and tapped into the community’s nascent entrepreneurship to transform the factory into a neighborhood-defining, artist-driven mini-mall. Since that first acquisition, Joseph has built Bushburg into a $2 billion+ vertically integrated real estate development company that today is at the vanguard of creating value and transforming communities in overlooked and undervalued neighborhoods.
