Jonathan Cohen
Jonathan T. K. Cohen has extensive experience representing businesses, individuals, and non-profit organizations involved in complex commercial real estate and other business transactions. Areas of expertise include, without limitation, purchases and sales, lease agreements, loan transactions, valuation disputes, development and construction, zoning and land use, business formations and disputes and loan restructuring. Jonathan has also handled hundreds of disputes that involve similar areas of law and business, resulting in substantial success in the State and Federal Courts of New York and New Jersey and in alternative dispute forums such as arbitration. Jonathan serves as a Arbitrator and Mediator of complex business, construction, and real estate related disputes, including service as an ADR panel member for the American Arbitration Association and different trial courts. Jonathan's achievements and reputation have earned him the coveted AV Rating from Martindale Hubbell for over 10 consecutive years, the most recognized attorney peer review system based on confidential assessments by members of the Bar and Judiciary. Prior to starting his own firm, Jonathan was a Director and Partner at McCusker, Anselmi, Rosen, Carvelli and Walsh, where he managed the firm's real estate practice for five years. Previously, he was a Partner in the New York City Office of Fischbein Badillo Wagner Harding and an Associate with the firm of Lowenstein Sandler. Before commencing his career as a practicing attorney, Jonathan worked as a Legislative Assistant in the New York State Assembly.
